One important aspect of editing is shaping your poem. This workshop will explore different tools a poet can use — from line breaks to field composition. Whether you're a "left margin" poet or someone who sees the page as a canvas, you will come away with creative techniques to experiment with and apply to your writing craft.

Al Rempel

Al Rempel is a poet, teacher, and mentor. His books of poetry are Undiscovered Country, This Isn't the Apocalypse We Hoped For, and Understories, as well as several chapbooks, including one forthcoming with the Alfred Gustav Press entitled Behind the Bladed Green. Rempel's poems have appeared in various journals and anthologies. His videopoem collaborations have been screened internationally, and he has led a variety of workshops on the craft of poetry.
